Dr. Sands is a Fort Collins native, excited to be returning to northern Colorado with his wife and young daughter. Dr. Sands attended Colorado State University for undergraduate and postgraduate education, completing a Master’s in Biomedical Science and Human Anatomy while serving as a graduate teaching assistant for the undergraduate physiology courses. He then attended the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine for his Doctorate in Dental Surgery. During his dental training, he discovered his passion for periodontal and dental implant surgeries. He completed a three-year residency at the University of Colorado, earning his Certificate in Periodontics and post-doctoral Master of Dental Sciences.
Dr. Weston Sands is a candidate for Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He maintains current memberships in multiple dental societies and continues to grow as a clinician through continuing education.
Dr. Sands employs the philosophy of treating every patient as if they were family and tailors treatment plans for each individual’s goals. His training allows him to provide the highest quality periodontal treatment and surgeries for his patients.
Dr. Sands enjoys all that the Colorado outdoors has to offer, particularly hiking and skiing with his family. As an alumnus of the Colorado State ice hockey team, he still loves the game and is a Colorado Eagles and Avalanche fan.
