Northern Colorado Periodontics

Post COVID-19 Patient Protocols

dental machine sanitation protocol Our community has been through a lot with the COVID pandemic.

Maintaining oral health is important to maintaining a healthy immune system to fight the bacteria and viruses we may encounter in daily life. We are committed to monitoring the changes in the public health policies for COVID or any other future biologic concerns.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice, and you may have seen this during your past visits to our office. We will continue with some changes we have implemented as a result of the COVID pandemic, such as our in-office HVAC air purification systems, and screening for respiratory disease. We will follow CDC, State and County Health Department guidance and reapply other practices as needed during times of heightened COVID risk to provide the safest environment for our patients.

According to the American Dental Association, millions of patients have safely visited their dental professionals’ offices during the COVID pandemic for a full range of services. With appropriate precautions, dental care has been shown to be able to be continually delivered during global pandemics or other disastrous situations.

We look forward to seeing you and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice.

Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and the loyalty of our patients, neighbors, and friends.

Sincerely,
Dr. Shumaker, Dr. Allen, and the Northern Colorado Periodontics Team
